The MMA world has been wanting to witness Welterwight Champ Georges St. Pierre and Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva in a UFC "Super Fight" for some time now. The two fighters are in a dead lock for pound for pound best in a lot of fans opinions. They both have (for the most part) cleaned their respective weight divisions out and it's been hard to find worthy opponents that can test either one.
The possibilty of this "Super Fight" happening is getting greater everyday! Considering St. Pierre, who is favored to beat Jake Shields at UFC 129 in April does just that, Dana White has announced that the UFC will work towards the two champs taking each other on in the octagon sometime in the near future.
Georges St, Pierre has some very interesting things to say about going up to Middleweight. Some of GSP's statements lead to some very interesting questions. He says if he goes up to 185 he will stay there. So, is Georges going to vacate the Welterweight Title to participate in the "super fight"? Will the UFC have to pay him a pretty penny to do so?
2011 is going to be a drama filled year for the UFC...What's new...Right?
A blogger from The Baltimore Sun caught up with GSP at the Under Armour Lab. (that explains the get up)
